Oh we love Apple announcements..

As you may know, Mr Jobs took to the stage yet again in California releasing some exciting information regarding the iOS, the new iPod range, iTunes and Apple TV.
So let’s have a little run down of what Steve Jobs announced..
  • iOS 4.1 will be released next week for the iPhone and iPod Touch which will include numerous bug fixes, the ability to take HDR photo’s and the new Games Center feature allowing us gamers to connect with each other.. sort of similar to the connectivity of Xbox Live. Steve also mention that iOS 4.2 will be released in November for the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch and will include new features such as iPad Multi-tasking and the ability to print wirelessly.
Steve was also pleased to announce new information regarding the new iPod range:
  • The new iPod Shuffle is going back to a squarer shape similiar to the second generation predecessor, however will support playlists and have a 15 hour battery life.

  • The new iPod nano is having a complete overhaul as it is losing the famous trackwheel and be replaced by a multi touch display, however it it very small compared with the iPod Touch.

  • The new iPod Touch will include a retina display, both a front and rear camera (with the FaceTime feature thats currently exclusive to the iPhone 4) and HD video recordings.
And then theres the Apple TV, which also will be getting an overhaul into a even tinier box wheres consumers will be able to rent movies for as little as 79p per night.
And Finally we shall be seeing an update to the iTunes software which will include a new “social networking” service for iTunes users named ping, which we can only assume will be a music themed sort of facebook.. but will it take off?
